Information Hedy Uses
Hedy uses your signed-in account identity to connect the extension to your Hedy workspace. When you choose to review a page, Hedy may collect the page URL, page title, visible page text, headings, metadata, and other page context needed to create or update review checklists.
If you attach screenshots, Hedy stores the screenshot you chose to capture and related context such as the captured page URL and checklist item. Hedy also stores QA answers, checklist items, project names, page names, comments, item history, and AI chat messages that you create in the extension or workspace.
Chrome Permissions
Hedy requests Chrome permissions for the extension side panel, sign-in, the active tab, notifications, scripting, storage, and tab capture. These permissions allow Hedy to open the side panel, sign you in, detect the active page, collect page context after you start a review, capture screenshots when you request them, remember local extension settings, send opt-in push notifications, and record the active tab when you explicitly start a recording.
Hedy does not use these permissions to collect browsing history in the background. Page context is used for Hedy review workflows when you interact with the extension.
Recordings are never captured automatically. Hedy captures tab video, tab audio, and your microphone only after you explicitly start a recording, and stores that recording in your Hedy workspace so your team can review the walkthrough later.
Website Analytics And Cookies
The Hedy website uses Google Tag Manager to help us understand aggregate site activity, measure marketing performance, and improve the landing pages. Google Tag Manager may load analytics, conversion measurement, or advertising tags that use cookies or similar browser technologies.
If Hedy runs Google Ads campaigns, those tags may help measure ad clicks, conversions, and campaign performance. We do not sell Hedy extension or workspace data. You can control cookies through your browser settings and can use Google's advertising controls at Google My Ad Center.
Product And Security Logging
Hedy keeps first-party activity logs for workspace actions such as sign-in state changes, company and project selection, project and page updates, checklist item changes, MCP connector activity, notification delivery attempts, realtime connection events, and API errors or slow requests. These logs help teams understand what is useful, troubleshoot performance, protect workspaces, and investigate abuse.
Activity logs are stored in Hedy's own service infrastructure. Hedy does not intentionally store raw bearer tokens, connector secrets, page DOM snapshots, screenshots, recordings, transcripts, full AI prompts or responses, or large request and response bodies in the activity log.
How Information Is Used
Hedy uses collected information to provide page-aware QA checklists, project and page review history, screenshot attachments, workspace collaboration, notifications, recording review, and AI-assisted review responses. The extension sends relevant data to Hedy services so your workspace can save and retrieve that information across sessions.
We may also use first-party product and security logs, website analytics, and support communications to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Hedy.
Sharing And Sale Of Data
AiIntersect.ai does not sell Hedy extension or workspace data. Hedy data is used to operate the Hedy service and may be processed by infrastructure and service providers that host, authenticate, store, secure, analyze, or support the application and website.
Local Storage
Hedy may store authentication state and extension settings in Chrome local storage so the extension can keep you signed in and remember selected settings. Signing out removes the local authentication state used by the extension.
Data Retention And Deletion
Workspace content remains available while it is needed to provide the Hedy service. If you need workspace data removed, contact AiIntersect.ai with the account and workspace details needed to process the request.
